Dr. Trina Moore currently serves as the principal of Nehemiah Enrichment Academy (NEA). Her education accolades include a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music Education from Livingstone College, Salisbury, NC, and a Master of School Administration Degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Charlotte, NC. In 2019, Dr. Moore earned an educational doctorate degree from the University of Southern California majoring in Organizational Change and Leadership.
In 2017, Dr. Moore was appointed as the founding principal of Nehemiah Enrichment Academy (NEA), a K-9 private Christian school. Dr. Moore brings 20 years of combined experience of teaching, training, advocacy, and leadership to NEA. Under her leadership, the school has been in scholars have displayed academic growth each year. Dr. Moore integrates research from her dissertation to effectively lead instructional growth at NEA. Dr. Moore is also an educational advocate. She has advocated for educational equity for disabled and non-disabled students for the past nine years. Dr. Moore has been a guest lecturer for the University of Southern California for master and doctoral students in counseling, leadership, and education. She is currently an adjunct professor for the Colleges of Education and Business undergraduate and graduate programs at Westcliff University (Irvine, CA), the University of Zambia (Zambia, Africa), and Copperbelt University (Zambia, Africa).
Dr. Moore is licensed by the state of North Carolina as a highly qualified teacher, principal, and curriculum specialist. She has 12 years of teaching experience as a choral music teacher and three years teaching experience in math and English. Dr. Moore has four years of experience, prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, as a virtual learning coach to students enrolled in online schools. Dr. Moore also has experience coaching teachers and developing K-12 and adult learning curriculum.
As the choral director at Martin Luther King, Jr. Middle School (MLK) in Charlotte, NC, she composed the song entitled “Purpose.” This inspirational song became MLK’s official school song in the spring of 2011. Along with local radio support and Internet radio airplay, the single was heard in the US and 37 international countries. Further support was garnered on local TV-WCNC Channel 36 with a feature on the evening news and performance on the morning talk show, Charlotte Today. The school song continues to be played each school day and is available on all digital music outlets.
Dr. Moore is an ordained elder in the teaching ministry at United Christian Fellowship Church International, Salisbury, NC. She has extensive experience in evangelism, Christian education, church leadership, and Christian curriculum design and development.
Dr. Moore is also a published author. She authored the Christian living curriculum Transformation. This curriculum explains in detail the foundational principles of Christianity such as salvation, maintaining salvation, and repentance. It is a must-read for new Christians, recommitted Christians, and seasoned Christians. Dr. Moore's newly released book, Be Like Jesus 2.0 is a collection of over 1,400 scriptures outlined to the lyrics of the single “Be Like Jesus”, in addition to over 85 real-life topics. Both books are published by Degel Publishing, independently owned by Dr. Moore.
The Biblical principle found in Matthew 22:37 (NKJV) serves as the motivating foundation for Dr. Moore in life and ministry. "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind." This Biblical command birthed Dr. Moore's purpose for ministry. That purpose is to give God all the glory, unite and reunite souls with Christ, and encourage the Body of Christ.
