Nehemiah EARLY College ACADEMY (NECA)

NEA Vision

At NEA, 100% of students will identify and develop a plan to achieve their spiritual, academic, and career goals by graduation.

About

NECA is the early college academy of Nehemiah Enrichment Academy. The early college program will prepare students to earn college credit during grades 11-12. Scholars have the option to earn an associate degree or college credit to transfer to a four-year university. College courses for grades 11-12 are FREE (excluding textbooks) at NC community colleges through the NC Career and College Promise Program. The early college academy is open to high school scholars who demonstrate academic competency. 

Who is NECA for?

Scholars in grades 9-12 who are committed and self-disciplined will be successful in the early college environment.

courses and Instruction

Scholars receive asynchronous (independent assignments) and synchronous (online instruction with teacher) instruction. Each course is taught and graded with a certified teacher. All courses are aligned to the North Carolina Standard Course of Study and meet North Carolina graduation requirements.

  • Bible and Character Education
  • Adulting and Financial Education
  • College Prep Courses (Grades 9-10)
  • Scholarship Research and Preparation
  • College and Course Advisement
  • College courses for grades 11-12 are FREE (excluding textbooks) at NC community colleges through the NC Career and College Promise Program.
  • Students can choose to earn an associates degree while in college or transfer credit to a four-year college or university.
